Nothing lasts forever / Live at the Hockenheimring 2014 (Bluray)
January 2014 was the month when this well-kept secret was revealed. They were back, fresher than before. E.I.N.S. again - friends again. Bridges where there were previously ditches.
The tickets for the Re-Union concert on June 20th. and 21.6. at the Hockenheimring were sold out in record time. Planning the mammoth event was a logistical masterpiece on every level. Then it came, the big day. The weekend. The first happy guests, who already
On Thursdays, who had access to the concert area on the Ring, they were able to admire “ES” all to themselves: The Beast. The “stage”. This part is visually based on the skyline in Frankfurt, the home base of the Böhsen Onkelz.
Then the intro. There was “28” with orchestral accompaniment from the “Neue Philharmonie Frankfurt”.
Then “Here are the Uncles”. It just had to be the opener. There was no way around it. The set in general: Many, many surprises. “Heaven Can Wait”, “Do You Long for the Needle”, “The Price of Life”. Just a few of many examples. The orchestra played along. Gave many songs a new timbre, goosebumps everywhere. Even when the Onkelz played their quieter classics on the small stage, in the middle of the crowd. “Another day wasted”, “I am in you”, “I am only happy when it hurts” and, for the first time ever, “Nothing is there forever”.

Moses Pelham, friend of the house and one of the first German rappers ever, was a guest on “Koma” and the fans were thrilled. The final, which coincided with the Jogi team's World Cup preliminary round game against Ghana, was heralded by the evergreen “Mexico”. Naturally. Confetti shower. Pogo, everywhere.
At the end there was the song that marked the end of an Onkelz set for the first time and thus set sail for a new level of consciousness for the band and the fans.
“Nothing lasts forever” – it wasn’t just the motto of the Re-Union. The snake, Ouroboros, biting its own tail was present everywhere. On the many ring paraphernalia and on the canvases. “Nothing lasts forever” was the promise made by four Frankfurt boys to stay.
The orchestra again, fantastically well-rehearsed and the band in great mood. Gonzo and Stephan together as if there had never been a break or differences. Kevin was highly motivated, sang and was confident. A real frontman. The last sounds. Disbelief and gratitude. They're back. Baja, played by the Neue Philharmonie Frankfurt, fireworks. End. Breathe deeply. Process.
