1990年，正当乐队灵魂Dave Mustaine（原Metallica队员）带领队员准备新专辑时，吉他演凑家 Marty Friedman 也加入该队，所有队员都认为这就是个契机，于是干劲十足的录制了《Rust In Peace》，该专辑成功的卖出了金唱片销量，其中单曲《HANGAR 18》首次进入英国单曲排行榜。这也正式拉开了Megadeth的光辉历程。他们后来与Metallica、Slayer和Anthrax一起被称为鞭笞金属四龙头，而《Rust In Peace》这张专辑现如今也被收录在“金属历史百佳专辑”之内。

Rust In Peace.....It is arguably Megadeth's best album and I was so excited when they announced a 20th anniversary tour. I was fortunate enough to see this spectacle live at one of their tour stops. I pounced on this baby the day it came out as my Blu-ray collection is lacking in some good metal shows.

The show itself is phenomenal. Having Dave Ellefson back and master guitarist Chris Broderick compliment Dave Mustaine and Shaun Drover, their playing is absolutely spot on. Then, having that great talent play one of the great metal albums of all time from front to back is euphoric. The venue is beautiful and roomy, and it showed as the crowd presence was very apparent. The camerawork is very good. My only nit-pick is the amount of cutting in and out during the guitar solos. You have one of the most influential guitarist in Dave Mustaine on one side, and one of the most skillful guitarist in Chris Broderick on the other. I would of like the camera to be more dedicated to the amazing fretwork during those times.

Video - The video is beautiful. The colors are very vivid amongst all the lighting. The picture is very clear and crisp for the most part. There are things to pick out, but they are negligible.

Sound - The major downfall of this release. The 5.1 DTS soundtrack that comes with this disc is barely passable. It is very bass heavy and the guitars are barely audible. I found the same issue as the other reviewer on this disc where a lot of the sound is concentrated to the rear left speaker. Personally, I found it quite distracting. I switched the audio to the stereo option and set my speakers to a "stereo 2x" set up and that was the saving grace for this disc. Oddly enough, these issues are only for the main "Rust In Peace" set-list. The bonus tracks that comes with this disc do not share these problems and the DTS track for them is quite enjoyable.

Extras - Nothing too special with the extras. There are 6 bonus songs included, but they are songs from the same concert that got cut out of the main set-list because they are not part of the "Rust In Peace" album. There is also a short behind the scenes video which documents the bands activities leading towards that nights concert. Footage consists of visuals of the venue, comments from band members, rehearsal footage, photo-shoot, and comments from fans.

This disc is a must have for all Megadeth fans and metal fans alike. Despite the sound mix issue, the disc still brings out the best of Megadeth and forever icon's "Rust In Peace" as a masterpiece.
